Meditation can be simple and easy, here is how to avoid burn out with meditation.

If:

  • You feel tired and stressed
  • You wish you could just hit the ‘off’ button and take a rest
  • You are working massively long hours
  • You get very little relaxation time
  • You have a really busy schedule

Then meditating for just a short time each day could massively change your feelings about your life. More importantly, it can massively changes your stress levels.

Burn out hits many people. Sad fact. In the modern world, jobs, and life, are becoming more and more fast paced. A hectic lifestyle can wreak havoc on your health.  How much free time do you actually have to just do what you want these days? How much ‘me’ time do you get?

Probably very little right.

Most people build their lives around their work. The feeling that the ‘job’ is the commanding influence if their life. Your job holds a certain importance for sure, the bills need paying after all. However, it is still possible to retain a calmness within your life. Overworking, leads to burn out, though that is only the case when you never get the stress relief that you need.

So how much stress relief do you get on a weekly basis?

Or for that matter a daily basis? Likely much less than you would actually like. So is this about cutting things out and dropping stuff so that you can have more free time? It would be good to have more, though sometimes that can be less than practical.

The key to achieving quality stress relief is using what free time you have effectively.

There are many things you can do in your free time. Yet some things provide greater stress relief than others. Meditation has been shown time and time again to be one of the most effective things for combating stress and achieving effective stress relief. The more you learn about meditation and what is meditation, the more you realise why.

One of the biggest things that I hear from people who are new to meditation is that they believe it is difficult, takes too long, or that they don’t have the concentration to do it. All too common these beliefs.

Yet the reality is different.

Have you ever thought something was difficult when you first started it? More to the point, have you ever thought something was difficult and then discovered it was far easier after you started it. Something which actually became really easy after getting some help and guidance?

Meditation can be massively easy for you.

If you decide to make it easy that is. As with most things in life, you can choose how difficult to make things. Adding in complexity is a choice when it comes to meditation. So therefore why not choose to make it really simple?

Likewise the length of time you meditate for is a choice. Yeah sure Buddhist monks often meditate for hours on end. Though most people, likely yourself included, lack sufficient time to do so. So why not just take a few minutes when you have the time? It is your choice after all, and just a few minutes a day can massively transform your life.

Taking just 10 minutes or so each day can provide a high degree of stress relief. 15 or 20 minutes even more so. On top of this there are different, yet simple, meditation techniques that you can use. If you are at home and feel like it you can do a simple candle meditation to clear your mind. Alternatively if you really want to take it really easy, do a guided meditation.

Guided meditation is a great way to lose yourself and your concerns of the world. As you sit or lie back. You can just drift away on the words you hear. Lulled further and further into a deep deep state of relaxation. All your troubles just dissipating and wafting away from you. It is a way to make things truly simple for yourself. Everyone has enough complication right. So making things easier for yourself has got to be a good thing hey.

Just take a few minutes each day, sit back or lie back, depending on the meditation. And allow your mind to be free. This is why so many people meditate now. More and more every day. Because it can be simple for you, and when you take it easy you can massively transform your life.

  1. Make it easy for yourself
  2. Just meditate for a few minutes each day
  3. Start with a simple guided meditation to make it easy for yourself
