Ho’o Pono Pono
It follows a very simple method and clears ties. As well as relationships and ill feeling between people. Without actually needing to see the person face to face. Except in the rarest and most terrible of circumstances. Doing it on a regular basis is a really good way to keep your life relatively clean and easy going. At least in terms of your relationships with others.
Before just telling you the process here is a little background. It will help you get an understanding on its power.
Within the Hawaiian Dictionary Hoʻo Pono Pono is defined as “mental cleansing: family conferences in which relationships were set right through prayer, discussion, confession, repentance, and mutual restitution and forgiveness”.
In literal terms the hoʻo is the equivalent to the English “to”. It creates a verb from the noun pono, which is defined as:
“goodness, uprightness, morality, moral qualities, correct or proper procedure, excellence, well-being, prosperity, welfare, benefit, true condition or nature, duty; moral, fitting, proper, righteous, right, upright, just, virtuous, fair, beneficial, successful, in perfect order, accurate, correct, eased, relieved; should, ought, must, necessary.”
Ponopono is defined as:
“to put to rights; to put in order or shape, correct, revise, adjust, amend, regulate, arrange, rectify, tidy up, make orderly or neat.”
“make right two times, make twice right.”
So in total and very simply Hoʻo Pono Pono means “to make right two times” or “to make twice right”.
i.e. clean up any unpleasantness within your relationships.
The first thing you should do is go to a really quiet place. Your meditation space is ideal. Candles and incense are totally ok to use with this technique.
Next when you are happy with the atmosphere, get into a comfortable seated position. Ha breathe for a minimum of 5 minutes to build up energy.
Having done so close your eyes. Build a stage in your mind. Then view it from a short distance away, and from slightly above.
Above the stage notice a ball of white light. It will just hang there, and is meant to be there.
Then call the first person up onto the stage. The first person you need to forgive, or need forgiveness from. Tell them that you forgive them and love them. You must truly mean it. Having given your forgiveness, ask them for theirs.
After you have given each other forgiveness, and truly meant it, send them healing energy and love. See them become totally healed and whole again. Next you’ll see the silvery cord that connects you break and disintegrate. If you wish, you can recreate connections later. For now allow them to disintegrate.
You will then see them lift up from the stage. Fly into the white light, and disappear. Once they have disappeared, call the next person onto the stage. Repeat until you have given forgiveness, and been given forgiveness by everyone that you need to. That could well be everyone you have ever met.
Persist and go through the process fully, it is totally worth it!
Afterwards sit and relax for a moment. Give gratitude to the universe for what you have just experienced. Feel the lightness. Lightness that has suddenly appeared in your mind, body and soul.
